Privacy policy
Last updated 13 October 2026
In short: you can use Psst without giving us anything. We don't sell your data, we don't use advertising trackers, and the resume builder keeps your resume on your own device.
Who is responsible for your data: the operator of Psst, whose legal name and address will be published here before paid membership opens. Contact us through the contact page.
What we collect
When you just browse
- Technical data that every website receives, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you open. Our host, Cloudflare, processes this to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. We don't use it to build a profile of you.
- Fonts: our fonts load from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with them.
- On your device only: the members' resume builder and your filter choices are saved in your browser's local storage. They are never sent to us. You can delete them by clearing your browser data.
When you become a member (once membership opens)
- Your email address and login details, to run your account.
- Your plan and payment status. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see your full card number.
- Jobs you save or mark as applied, and the job preferences you choose, so we can show you matching jobs.
- Messages you send us.
Why we use it
- To provide the site and your membership (contract).
- To keep Psst secure and working (legitimate interest).
- To send emails about your account and, if you choose, job emails (contract or consent; you can unsubscribe anytime).
- To meet legal duties such as keeping tax records (legal obligation).
Cookies
Psst doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Members will get one cookie that keeps them logged in, which is strictly necessary.
Who we share it with
Only service providers who help us run Psst: website hosting and security (Cloudflare), fonts (Google Fonts), payments, and email delivery. They may process data outside your country, under standard contractual safeguards. We never sell your data and never share it with employers.
How long we keep it
Account data for as long as you have an account, then up to 30 days to delete it, except billing records we must keep by law (usually up to 10 years).
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Write to us from the contact page. If you're in the EU, EEA or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Psst is not meant for children under 16, and memberships are for adults.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell members by email.
