Soc Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SOC Analyst based in India.

We are looking for a motivated SOC Analyst to help protect organizations worldwide by detecting, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity threats. In this remote, entry-level role, you will investigate security alerts, analyze suspicious software, and support live incident response engagements. You will work hands-on with malware analysis, digital forensics, and threat hunting using industry-standard security tools. Your findings will help identify emerging threats and strengthen customer protection. This position offers the opportunity to develop practical cybersecurity expertise while contributing to a collaborative security operations environment and the continuous improvement of detection and response services.

Accountabilities

•

Investigate security alerts generated by security platforms to identify potential threats and support live incident response engagements.

•

Analyze suspicious programs and software using relevant tools and techniques to identify malicious behavior and classify malware.

•

Prepare clear, detailed malware analysis and threat investigation reports.

•

Conduct advanced threat hunting to identify risks affecting customers worldwide, complementing standard Security Operations Center services.

•

Perform technical analysis and digital forensics on cybersecurity threats, malware, and real-world attacks.

•

Use industry-standard security platforms and tools to investigate incidents and support effective threat detection and response.

Requirements

•

At least 1 year of technical experience in networking, IT, or cybersecurity.

•

Strong understanding of network architecture and protocols, including HTTP and DNS.

•

Hands-on, practical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.

•

Ability to understand complex technical systems, learn new technologies, and identify critical security issues.

•

Strong analytical and research skills, with creative and independent thinking.

•

Good presentation and training skills, with the ability to communicate technical findings clearly.

•

Experience operating security tools such as firewalls (FW), intrusion detection systems (IDS), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms, and endpoint protection solutions.

•

Preferred: Previous experience working as an analyst in a Cyber Security Operations Center (SOC).

•

Preferred: Experience identifying, exposing, or exploiting vulnerabilities.

Annual salary range of USD 10,000–13,000 , with final compensation depending on seniority, relevant experience, and other job-related factors.
