About the job

At Ledgy, we’re on a mission to make Europe a powerhouse of entrepreneurship by building a modern, tech-driven equity management and financial reporting platform for private and public companies. In 2026, we aim to be the leading provider for European IPOs and reporting for share-based payments. We are a value-based company with a core focus on being humble, transparent, ambitious and impactful, all in order to delivery the best experience for our customers and end users.

We are proud to partner with some of the world’s leading investors. New Enterprise Associates led our  $22m Series B round in 2022, with Philip Chopin joining Sequoia’s Luciana Lixandru on our board.

We were founded in Switzerland in 2017 and today we operate globally from offices in Zurich and London. We encourage diversity and are an international team coming from 26 different countries and speaking 25 different languages.

About the Role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Ledgy, you'll build the infrastructure and tooling that help our engineers ship quickly and reliably. You'll join our Platform team, collaborating with engineers and InfoSec to improve CI/CD, observability, and cloud infrastructure for a product that helps companies manage equity.

Our challenge is to make delivery faster, production easier to operate, and AI-assisted development safer - while keeping complexity and costs in check.

Location: We hire remotely across Spain, Germany, Poland, and Romania.

The team you'll join: Platform - Builds the infrastructure and tooling that help our engineers ship quickly and reliably, working with InfoSec to improve CI/CD, observability, and cloud infrastructure.

What You'll Work On

  • Cloud infrastructure. Evolve our GCP and Kubernetes cloud architecture and setup with Terraform, improving reliability, simplicity, and cost visibility and enabling scaling to multiple availability regions.
  • CI/CD and developer experience. Speed up feedback loops, reduce flaky builds, and turn recurring support requests into self-service tooling.
  • Observability. Reduce alert noise, define meaningful SLOs, and make production issues easier to diagnose.
  • Security and automation. Partner with InfoSec on secure delivery, access controls, and guardrails for AI-assisted workflows.

You'll also join our incident-response on-call rotation during working hours and help prevent recurring issues. As we expand our servicing of public companies and jurisdictions, this on-call might evolve to compensated 24h/7 hour rotation.

You'll Thrive in This Role If You

Don't worry if you don't tick every box. These are the things that would make you an especially good fit.

  • Have strong DevOps / SRE background designing and operating cloud infrastructure and production systems
  • Have worked with Kubernetes and infrastructure as code, ideally GCP and Terraform
  • Enjoy building fast, reliable CI/CD pipelines and improving developer experience
  • Can diagnose issues across networking, infrastructure, and application code
  • Write maintainable code and bring a practical approach to observability and security
  • Value collaboration, mentorship, and thoughtful trade-offs between reliability, complexity, and cost
  • Are curious about supporting AI-assisted development safely - no AI specialism required

Experience with Node.js, MongoDB or Temporal is a plus.

Our Tech Stack

We work in TypeScript: React, Tailwind CSS, and tRPC on the front end, and tRPC, Node.js, MongoDB, and Temporal on the back end. Infrastructure runs on GCP, Terraform Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, and GitHub Actions. For observability and incident response we use Grafana, Sentry, and PagerDuty.

You don't need to know all of it. We don't expect proficiency in every part of this stack. Strong infrastructure fundamentals and the ability to learn matter more than knowing every tool already.

What Your Journey Could Look Like

First 30 days

  • Get to know Ledgy, the Platform team, and our internal users with an onboarding buddy
  • Explore our infrastructure and delivery workflows, and ship your first improvement
  • Analyze current state of our cloud infrastructure and propose meaningful enhancements

First 3 months

  • Independently deliver improvements to CI/CD, observability, or infrastructure design
  • Share operational ownership and help reduce recurring friction for engineers
  • Contribute to architecture discussions and document what others need to operate our systems

First 6-12 months

  • Own DevOps and SRE function and DevOps initiatives from problem definition through rollout and adoption
  • Deliver measurable improvements to developer experience, reliability, or cost
  • Help shape our platform's direction and mentor other engineers

The interview process

  • Getting to know you (45 min): Meet with someone from our people team to talk about your experience and to ask questions about the role
  • Live Coding (60 min): An equity domain problem to solve collaboratively using your preferred language and IDE. We want to see how you think, so this step does not allow AI. But you can freely look up syntax questions if you need to.
  • System Design (60 min): A system design session where you will design an architecture for a problem from the Ledgy domain using a visual tool of your choice
  • DDSA (45 min): A Deep Dive into real System Architecture that you have built, owned and monitored.
  • Culture Interview: A chance to meet one of our founders and your hiring manager for a 30-minute chat about Ledgy's mission and values
  • Offer 🎉

Being part of Ledgy means

  • Recharge and re-energize with flexible working hours, 25 days of vacation, and up to 40 days of remote work from outside your home country.
  • We make space for your own professional development, with a generous yearly learning & development budget.
  • This role will receive a competitive salary + benefits + equity. All salaries are aligned with competitively benchmarked ranges based on work location and levelling.
