Mass Appraisal & Property Assessment Consultant

AlphaGov is engaging a Mass Appraisal & Property Assessment Consultant for current local-government work. Live pursuits include technical and training assistance for real property tax assessment and an evaluation of a large city's mass appraisal program.

We confirm scope, schedule, and fee with you before any engagement begins.

What you'll do

• Evaluate CAMA models, valuation methods, and ratio-study performance (IAAO standards)
• Provide technical assistance and training to assessors
• Review data quality, sales validation, and assessment administration
• Recommend process and system improvements
• Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when you authorize naming

Requirements

Required

• At least 5 years of professional experience in mass appraisal or real property assessment
• Working knowledge of IAAO standards and ratio studies
• Comfortable as a 1099 project-based consultant

Nice to have

• IAAO designation (CAE, RES, AAS)
• New York or Pennsylvania assessment experience
• Statistical modeling skills
