AlphaGov delivers public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. AlphaGov is engaging a Public Investment Advisor for current state authority work. A state public authority needs investment advisory services.

We confirm scope, schedule, and fee with you before any engagement begins.

What you'll do

• Develop and monitor investment policy and portfolio strategy for public funds
• Ensure compliance with state public authority investment guidelines
• Provide performance reporting and market analysis
• Present to boards and finance committees
• Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when you authorize naming

Requirements

Required

• At least 5 years of professional experience in public funds investment advisory
• SEC-registered investment adviser or affiliation with one
• Comfortable as a 1099 project-based consultant

Nice to have

• New York State public authorities experience
• CFA
• Fixed income portfolio management
