About the job
About the role
Sporty Group is scaling its Media Products portfolio, and we’re looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to help drive audience growth and marketing performance across our global football media products.
This is a hands-on, data-driven role sitting at the intersection of performance marketing, analytics, creative and media. You will support the planning and execution of marketing initiatives across multiple channels, ensuring campaigns are delivered effectively, performance is clearly understood, and insights are consistently translated into action.
You’ll work closely with our User Acquisition, Creative, Analytics and Media teams to manage the marketing calendar, coordinate campaign execution, analyse channel performance and develop creative initiatives that resonate with football audiences.
Football knowledge is critical to this role. We’re looking for someone who understands not only performance marketing, but also the football calendar, competitions, clubs, players and fan behaviour — and can use that understanding to make smarter marketing decisions.
You’ll combine strong analytical skills with excellent execution, helping us continuously improve how we acquire, engage and grow audiences across Sporty’s Media Products.
What you’ll be doing
- Drive marketing execution for Media Products - Support the planning and execution of performance marketing initiatives across paid social, search, display, programmatic, video and other relevant channels, ensuring activity is aligned with the wider Media Strategy and business objectives.
- Own the marketing promotion calendar - Manage the weekly marketing promotion calendar in line with the Media Plan, coordinating campaigns, content priorities, football events and promotional opportunities to ensure timely and accurate execution across channels.
- Analyse performance and identify opportunities - Monitor marketing performance across channels and initiatives, using KPIs including CPL, CPV, CPI, ROAS and other relevant metrics to identify trends, performance drivers and opportunities for improvement.
- Turn data into actionable insights - Conduct channel and campaign analysis, summarising performance, key learnings and recommendations to help improve future marketing initiatives and investment decisions.
- Own recurring Media performance reporting - Prepare Weekly Media Updates and maintain existing performance dashboards, ensuring stakeholders have clear, accurate and actionable visibility into marketing performance.
- Support creative performance and execution - Develop and brief creative tasks aligned with the Media Strategy, working closely with Creative and UA teams to ensure assets are delivered on time and designed around campaign objectives and audience insights.
- Improve creative effectiveness - Validate new creatives across marketing channels and conduct first-level quality checks, combining performance data, market trends, football context and brand standards to continuously improve creative output.
- Partner across teams - Work closely with User Acquisition, Creative, Analytics and Media stakeholders to coordinate campaigns, share learnings and ensure marketing initiatives are executed effectively across the business.
- Connect marketing with football culture - Use your understanding of football competitions, clubs, players, major events and fan behaviour to identify relevant marketing opportunities and ensure campaigns authentically resonate with football audiences.
What you’ll bring
- 5-7 years of experience in Performance Marketing, User Acquisition, Marketing Strategy, Growth Marketing, Paid Media or a similar data-driven marketing role.
- Solid understanding of performance marketing principles and experience working across key paid acquisition channels, including Paid Social, Search, Display, Programmatic and Video.
- Hands-on experience analysing marketing performance and translating data into actionable recommendations.
- Strong understanding of performance metrics including CPL, CPV, CPI, ROAS and other acquisition and engagement KPIs.
- Experience working with reporting tools and performance dashboards, with the ability to maintain accurate and reliable recurring reporting.
- Experience coordinating marketing campaigns, calendars and creative workflows across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to managing recurring marketing activities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate performance data into clear narratives and support management-level presentations.
- Collaborative mindset and experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, Analytics and other teams.
- A genuine passion for football, with strong knowledge of major competitions, clubs, players, football audiences and the wider football media landscape.
- Fluent English. Spanish is a plus.
Even better if
- Previous experience in sports, media or entertainment marketing.
- Experience working with football-focused digital products or audiences.
- Experience with subscription-based, streaming or OTT media products.
