IT Helpdesk Agent

Salary: R23 000 – R25 000 per month

Remote Recruitment is hiring a IT Helpdesk Agent for a UK-based employer, fully remote from South Africa, owning first-line IT support for a UK team.

Role overview

You will be the friendly first point of contact when staff at a UK business have a tech problem. You will diagnose, fix or escalate issues quickly and keep every ticket moving until it is resolved.

Key responsibilities

• Log, triage and resolve first-line support tickets

• Reset passwords and manage user accounts

• Set up and troubleshoot laptops, email and software

• Escalate complex issues with clear notes

• Keep knowledge-base articles accurate and current

What you'll need

• Experience in an IT helpdesk or technical support role

• Experience with a ticketing tool such as Zendesk or Freshdesk

• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows

• Clear written English for explaining fixes simply

• A reliable laptop and stable fibre connection

Nice to have

• CompTIA A+ or similar certificate

• Experience with Google Workspace admin

• Familiarity with remote support tools such as TeamViewer

This is a full-time, 100% remote role working UK hours, 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST).
