Customer Support Specialist

Salary: R29 000 – R32 000 per month

Remote Recruitment is hiring a Customer Support Specialist for a UK-based employer, fully remote from South Africa, owning resolving UK customer issues end to end.

Role overview

You will be the problem solver customers rely on. You will handle more complex queries across email, chat and phone, spot recurring issues and help the team improve how customers are supported.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve customer queries across email, chat and phone

• Investigate and escalate complex or technical issues

• Document solutions in the help desk and knowledge base

• Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements

• Meet response-time and satisfaction targets

What you'll need

• Experience in customer support or a service desk role

• Experience with a help desk tool such as Zendesk or Freshdesk

• Excellent written English and a calm, empathetic manner

• Strong problem-solving and ticket prioritisation skills

• A reliable computer, headset and stable fibre connection

Nice to have

• Experience supporting UK or international customers

• Familiarity with SaaS or e-commerce products

• Experience writing help centre articles

This is a full-time, 100% remote role working UK hours, 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST).
