EstateScout is a Canadian PropTech company focused on transforming how real estate agents manage purchase and sale transactions. The platform centralizes the entire real estate journey—from initial client intake and qualification to negotiation, closing, and post-sale—by combining workflow management, automated processes, real-time market data integrations, and intelligence tools.

We are looking for a hands-on Mid/Senior Full Stack Developer to help evolve an existing interactive prototype into a robust, functional production platform.

This is a fully remote, part-time opportunity for professionals based in Latin America, working closely with an international team in an English-speaking environment.

Role overview

As a Full Stack Developer, you will work directly with the founder—a senior professional in data science and real estate investment—to drive the technical evolution of the platform. You will be responsible for translating an existing interactive prototype into a production-grade application, establishing scalable frontend interfaces and backend architectures, and connecting core business workflows to real-time property data feeds.

We are looking for an autonomous engineer with strong product sense who thrives in an early-stage startup environment. You will actively participate in technical and architectural decision-making, build end-to-end features, and implement data-driven tools such as market opportunity scoring engines, property comparators, and automated document workflows.

Selection process The process usually consists of 4 stages and takes on average 4–6 weeks to be completed, depending on eventual additional technical rounds or take-home tests:

• Initial interview with Workana's recruiting team

• Technical interview with the client

• Cultural fit interview with the client's manager

• Final interview with C-level

As Workana has multiple clients, if you pass the first round with Workana's recruiting team, you may also be considered for other relevant opportunities if the initial opportunity does not move forward.

Responsibilities

• Transform the existing interactive prototype into a responsive, mobile-optimized, production-ready frontend interface.

• Design and implement backend architectures, scalable REST and/or GraphQL APIs, and reliable data services.

• Ingest, normalize, and process property data feeds from external sources (such as CREA DDF / MLS).

• Implement core product logic, including market opportunity scoring, property comparison tools, and offer pricing calculators.

• Integrate automated document generation and e-signature services to streamline contract workflows.

• Model relational databases, optimize complex queries, and manage high-volume transactional data.

• Set up and maintain cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and basic observability tooling.

• Collaborate directly with the founder on technical strategy, architecture, and end-to-end product delivery.

Requirements

• Solid experience in full stack software development across modern frontend and backend architectures.

• Strong proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (such as React) along with HTML, CSS, and mobile-first responsive design.

• Solid experience in backend development using Node.js, TypeScript, Python, or equivalent technologies.

• Demonstrated experience with RESTful or GraphQL API design, integration, and external third-party service consumption.

• Strong experience working with relational databases, schema design, and query optimization in cloud environments.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Docker containerization, and CI/CD workflows.

• Advanced English proficiency is mandatory, as the role involves regular collaboration in an English-speaking environment.

• Must be based in Latin America.

Bonus points

• Experience integrating real estate data feeds (MLS, CREA DDF) or familiarity with the Canadian real estate market.

• Experience integrating LLM/AI APIs for content generation and communications or implementing ML-based scoring models.

• Exposure to automated document generation and e-signature APIs (such as DocuSign).

• Availability for time-zone alignment with Toronto (EST).
