You will play a key role in improving software delivery processes, ensuring reliable deployments, and optimizing secure cloud infrastructure across multiple application environments. Working with modern cloud technologies and automation tools, you will help streamline continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) operations from development through production. You will collaborate closely with development and infrastructure teams to strengthen deployment practices, troubleshoot technical challenges, and promote operational excellence. The role also involves establishing cloud architecture standards, implementing security best practices, and supporting developer enablement. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for an experienced cloud professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges in a security-focused environment.

Accountabilities

  • Analyze, design, develop, and test automated deployment pipelines across multiple application systems.
  • Build, configure, and maintain fully automated continuous delivery processes across multiple Linux environments.
  • Create, maintain, and improve build and deployment scripts to streamline software delivery and infrastructure operations.
  • Troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline issues, identify root causes, and implement improvements to deployment tools and automation processes.
  • Manage and coordinate application releases across Development, Testing, Staging, and Production environments.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of reliable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure.
  • Design network, storage, and compute specifications for cloud environments, incorporating Identity and Access Management (IAM), security groups, and native cloud services.
  • Develop and maintain policies, technical standards, procedures, and documentation governing continuous delivery operations.
  • Onboard, guide, and train developers on source control management, build automation, merge conflict resolution, continuous integration, automated testing, and deployment practices.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to improve automation, deployment consistency, system reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Apply cloud security and infrastructure best practices to ensure secure and resilient delivery environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • 12+ years of overall IT experience , including at least 5 years of cloud engineering experience and 5 years of experience administering or engineering Windows or Linux systems .
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS architecture and cloud infrastructure design.
  • Practical experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools, particularly Ansible, Jenkins, and Terraform.
  • Professional-level cloud certification in at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), or Google Cloud. Architect-level certifications are an advantage.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills, with the ability to develop and maintain reliable build and deployment processes.
  • Solid understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), cloud security principles, and access control mechanisms.
  • Experience managing cloud backup solutions, storage infrastructure, and related operational requirements.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD practices, continuous integration, automated testing, release management, and deployment strategies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, analyze system behavior, and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to support and train developers and work effectively across technical teams.
  • Ability to work independently, manage technical priorities, and contribute to secure and reliable cloud operations.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to obtain access to sensitive information.

Benefits

  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $120,000 to $132,000 , depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Fully remote working arrangement, with the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States.
  • Full-time employment opportunity supporting a federal healthcare program.
  • Opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies and industry-leading DevOps tools, including AWS, Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.
  • Exposure to large-scale cloud infrastructure, automation, and secure federal IT environments.
  • Opportunity to contribute to meaningful technical initiatives while strengthening cloud engineering and DevOps expertise.
