About you
Use the exact title from the ad as "Job you want". Recruiters and their software search for it. Your time zone tells a remote team, at a glance, when you'll be online.
Summary
2–3 sentences: what you're good at, one fact that proves it, and how you work remotely. Skip words anyone could write about themselves ("hard-working", "passionate"): the check below flags them.
Work experience
Most recent first. Part-time, freelance and family-business work all count. One line per thing you did: start with an action, add a number.
Projects, volunteering and side work
Great when you have little work history: a school project, a club you ran, an online shop, helping a relative's business.
Education and certificates
Skills, tools and languages
Name the tools from the ad. For remote work, list how you talk to a team: Slack, Zoom, Loom, Notion, Asana, Google Workspace.
Cover letter
Remote hiring managers read short letters: 4 paragraphs, about 250 words. It uses your name, contact details and design from the resume.
Name something real: their product, a customer story, how they work. Not "I am writing to apply for…": they know.
Two results from your resume, with numbers.
Your time zone and hours, the tools you use, and one example of working without someone watching.
One line asking for the next step. Short and confident.
How the Apply kit works
Apply in about 2 minutes instead of 20, and still send an application that's clearly yours. You stay in control: nothing is sent for you.
- Check the match. See which skills and tools from the ad are on your resume. Add the missing ones only if you really have them.
- Download your resume. Use the ATS-safe PDF when the form asks you to upload a file; the designed one when you email a person.
- Download your cover letter. We write a starter for this company from your resume. Change the one line in [brackets].
- Open the application on the company's own site. It opens in a new tab, so this page stays open.
- Copy and paste the answers below into the form's questions. Replace anything in [brackets] with your own words.
- Submit it yourself, then come back and tap I applied. We add it to My jobs so you can follow it.
Quality beats quantity. 5 tailored applications a day get more replies than 50 copy-pasted ones. Recruiters now spot mass, AI-written applications and skip them.
