About the job

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a VP of Product based in the United States.

As VP of Product, you will define the product vision and lead the strategic evolution of an innovative cybersecurity and operational resilience platform. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own the product roadmap, shape the broader portfolio, and influence pricing, go-to-market, and commercial strategies. This is a hands-on executive opportunity to build and scale the product management function from the ground up while working closely with engineering, architecture, and UX teams. You will translate customer needs and market insights into differentiated products that strengthen enterprise recovery readiness and cyber resilience. Combining strategic leadership with operational execution, you will guide products throughout their entire lifecycle, from initial concept to development, launch, and adoption. Your work will play a central role in the organization's long-term growth and market positioning.

Accountabilities

You will establish the product vision, operating model, and roadmap while aligning cross-functional teams around measurable business and customer outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:

•

Build and lead the product management function from the ground up, establishing the team structure, processes, operating practices, and performance framework.

•

Define product metrics and reporting mechanisms, using data and performance insights to identify gaps, measure progress, and drive continuous improvement.

•

Develop and implement strategic product plans in collaboration with customers, prospects, external partners, and internal stakeholders.

•

Own and maintain the product vision, portfolio strategy, roadmaps, and supporting business cases.

•

Manage feature backlogs, development timelines, business and functional requirements, and user-focused design artifacts, including use cases, user stories, and journey maps.

•

Lead evidence-based product definition, UX strategy, and market, customer, and competitive research.

•

Establish product priorities based on customer needs, market opportunities, technical considerations, and broader business objectives.

•

Own pricing, packaging, and product launch strategies, working closely with sales, customer support, and professional services teams.

•

Influence go-to-market and commercial strategy to support product adoption, market differentiation, and revenue growth.

•

Bring engineering, architecture, UX, sales, support, and services teams together around shared product goals and priorities.

•

Communicate the product vision and strategy clearly to internal stakeholders, customers, partners, and other external audiences.

•

Represent the needs of customers and end users throughout the product lifecycle, including development, delivery, deployment, and adoption.

•

Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure product investments and priorities support the organization's long-term business plans.

•

Identify opportunities to expand the product portfolio and strengthen its competitive position.

•

Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced product executive with a strong background in B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, and enterprise infrastructure. You should have a proven ability to build products and teams, make strategic decisions in complex environments, and translate technical capabilities into compelling customer and business value. Candidates should demonstrate:

•

At least 10 years of product management experience, including experience serving as the senior product decision-maker for an early-stage B2B SaaS product.

•

At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure, or operational resilience, with a deep understanding of how enterprise infrastructure is built, operated, attacked, and recovered.

•

Relevant industry expertise gained through cybersecurity, backup and data protection, IT operations, incident response, or hands-on technical practitioner experience.

•

At least 3 years of experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) or Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs).

•

At least 5 years of experience managing, developing, and mentoring teams.

•

A proven track record of building or leading products in operational resilience, backup and disaster recovery, security operations, exposure management, or asset management.

•

Strong strategic thinking and entrepreneurial drive, with the ability to quickly assess product goals, identify opportunities, and establish clear priorities.

•

Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, exercise sound judgment, and assess business and product risks effectively.

•

Excellent communication and storytelling skills, including the ability to present clear, compelling, and data-informed recommendations in writing and in person.

•

Strong analytical and organizational capabilities, with experience translating market research, customer feedback, and performance data into product decisions.

•

Proven ability to build productive, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across departments and organizational levels.

•

The ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence decision-making, and maintain alignment around shared objectives.

•

A commitment to fostering a collaborative culture and modeling strong organizational values.

Benefits

•

Annual salary range of $250,000–$350,000.

•

Full-time employment.

•

Remote work opportunity within the United States.

•

Executive-level responsibility and direct reporting to the CEO.

•

Opportunity to build and lead the product management function from the ground up.

•

Strategic influence over product direction, portfolio development, pricing, and go-to-market initiatives.
