About the job
About the company
Our client is a law firm.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. The position is remote and largely self-managed, with defined productivity and responsiveness expectations, plus some writing and educational outreach.
What you'll do
- Draft and negotiate policies, notices, formal opinion letters and agreements, and offer day-to-day guidance to client leadership and their managers.
- Advise on governance, statutory compliance, recorded property restrictions and real estate questions.
- Produce foundational corporate documents, bylaws, resolutions, demand letters and voting procedures.
- Keep client communication prompt and manage a full annual workload that meets the firm's billing target.
- Contribute published articles and support firm marketing and educational activities.
Requirements
What we're looking for

- A JD and active California Bar membership.
- Outstanding written advocacy and drafting skills, with clean, polished first drafts; a writing sample will be requested during interviews.
- Solid grounding in governance principles and real estate law.
- A self-directed working style, producing dependable work with little oversight.
- Willingness to apply the firm's established legal positions.
- Comfort with a high billable-hour target and a fast turnaround standard for client requests.
- Residence in California, ideally the Los Angeles area, working Pacific hours and able to visit the office occasionally.
Bonus points
- Prior experience at a well-regarded firm in the same practice area.
- Familiarity with state statutes for common-interest communities or mixed-use developments.
