Strategic Planning Facilitator

AlphaGov (Casa Moon LLC d/b/a AlphaGov) delivers public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, economic and workforce analysis, surveys and community research, and applied data and infrastructure research.

We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. When you authorize it, AlphaGov may name you as an expert collaborator or key personnel on proposals that match your expertise. We build ready teams for live pursuits — not speculative staffing banks.

This opportunity is contingent upon contract award and final staffing approval. Permission will be requested before including a candidate's name or resume in a proposal.

AlphaGov is seeking a Strategic Planning Facilitator for remote, project-based work with governments, school systems, agencies, and nonprofits. There is no guaranteed assignment. This role is organizational strategic planning, not a land-use comprehensive plan, traffic plan, or marketing plan.

What you'll do

Facilitate a strategic-plan refresh or a new organizational strategic plan

Design the planning sessions, stakeholder input, and decision record

Draft mission, goals, strategies, and an implementation roadmap the organization can adopt

Build a small set of measures the organization can actually track

Prepare materials for boards, councils, or leadership teams

Contribute facilitation approach and past-performance narrative to proposals only when naming is authorized

Keep the plan tied to the organization's real capacity, not a generic template

Requirements

Required

• Experience facilitating an organizational strategic plan through adoption, for a government, district, agency, or nonprofit

• A plan you can name by organization, year, and your role

• Ability to turn session output into goals, strategies, and a written roadmap

• Experience presenting to a board, council, or executive team

• Comfortable as a 1099 project-based collaborator, with occasional client travel

Nice to have

• Work that included an implementation scorecard or progress reviews after adoption

• Experience with a school board, city council, or public authority
