About the job
Who we are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
The Startup Products team builds Stripe Atlas and other products that help founders start and run a company, from anywhere in the world. We believe that startups are one of the most effective ways to solve the world's problems, and we want to give founders a running start — and keep them running. We help founders form their company, raise capital, execute critical legal agreements, access the internet's best tools, and automate operations while feeling ambitious, smart, and assured. Our goal is to create more startups that get to product-market fit, fast.
Our team is composed of high-agency, high-ownership product thinkers, who genuinely care about helping founders and making it easier to start and run a startup. Every person on the team is responsible for making our product the best it can be, and for ensuring our roadmap contains the highest impact ships for founders.
What you’ll do
As a Strategy & Operations partner on the Startup Products team, you’ll help determine where we should play and what we should build for founders. You’ll combine user insight, market context, product judgment, and rigorous analysis to develop strategy, shape product roadmaps, and turn our highest-potential ideas into clear, executable plans. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, design, marketing, partnerships, and other teams across Stripe to develop your recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Develop product and business strategy for Atlas and other startup products by structuring ambiguous questions, synthesizing evidence, and making clear recommendations.
- Turn strategy into execution by defining goals, workstreams, decision points, and operating cadences, and by helping cross-functional teams resolve tradeoffs and unblock progress.
- Build a deep understanding of founders through direct conversations, qualitative research, product data, and support conversations.
- Translate founder needs, market developments, and competitive dynamics into product opportunities, roadmap recommendations, and prioritization frameworks.
- Partner with product, engineering, and design to unblock the development of new products and features from early problem definition through scope, launch, and iteration.
- Develop business cases and opportunity assessments for new bets, including market sizing.
- Lead targeted strategic projects, including 0→1 explorations, product or market deep dives, and initiatives that span multiple teams.
- Communicate recommendations, decisions, progress, and results clearly to team and Stripe leadership, and build alignment through influence rather than authority.
Who you are
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements
- 5+ years of experience in strategy and operations, product strategy, product management, management consulting, or another analytical and cross-functional role at a technology company.
- Experience partnering closely with product, engineering, and design to shape product decisions and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Strong product sense and user empathy, with the ability to identify important customer problems and translate them into product or business opportunities.
- Excellent structured problem-solving skills and the ability to bring clarity to ambiguous, open-ended questions.
- Ability to combine qualitative and quantitative evidence, challenge assumptions, and turn complex findings into practical recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
- High agency, sound judgment, and a willingness to move between strategy and hands-on execution as the work requires.
- Enthusiasm for helping founders start and grow their businesses.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with startups, founders, company formation, fintech, or products serving small and early-stage businesses.
- Experience conducting or applying user research, shaping product roadmaps, or bringing new products from 0→1.
- Experience using AI tools to simplify and speed up your work.
