Senior Systems Administrator

We’re seeking a Senior Systems Administrator  who can not only manage day-to-day operations but also take the lead on complex projects and guide clients through evolving security frameworks such as CMMC and NIST .

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize client infrastructure including servers, networks, cloud platforms (Azure, Microsoft 365), and security solutions.

• Lead and execute IT projects end-to-end (migrations, deployments, upgrades, cloud transitions).

• Implement and enforce security frameworks  such as CMMC, NIST, and other compliance standards  across client environments.

• Troubleshoot escalated technical issues (L3) and mentor junior engineers.

• Develop and maintain documentation for client systems, policies, and procedures.

• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to deliver solutions on time and within scope.

• Monitor system performance and proactively address vulnerabilities, outages, or compliance gaps.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator in an MSP environment  (preferred).

• Strong technical expertise in:

• Windows Server / Active Directory / Group Policy

• Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)

• Cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune)

• Firewalls, networking, and endpoint security solutions

• Hands-on experience with compliance/security frameworks ( CMMC, NIST, HIPAA, or SOC 2 ).

• Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects .

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Relevant certifications preferred (CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, CISSP, CISM, or CMMC-related credentials).
