About the job

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect based in Canada.

The Senior Solutions Architect will play a key role in guiding technical sales engagements and designing solutions that address complex customer needs in a mission-critical technology environment. Working closely with B2B customers, you will lead technical discovery, present product capabilities, and translate business requirements into scalable API-based solutions and integrations. You will combine hands-on technical development with strategic customer advisory, building demos, prototypes, pilots, and proof-of-concept implementations. In close partnership with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Public Safety teams, you will help shape solutions that connect customer needs with product capabilities. This highly visible, customer-facing position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous technical challenges, building with AI tools, and developing trusted client relationships. Your work will contribute to technology designed to improve emergency response and help save lives.

Accountabilities

•

Lead technical customer engagements throughout the pre-sales process, including product demonstrations, pilot projects, and proof-of-concept implementations.

•

Conduct technical discovery and translate customer requirements into clear solution architectures, including API strategies and integrations with emergency response workflows and customer products.

•

Develop and deliver customized technical presentations and demonstrations for prospective and existing clients.

•

Partner with Account Executives to develop account strategies, plan and execute customer engagements, communicate the product value proposition, and establish trusted advisor relationships.

•

Produce technical documentation, solution specifications, and Statements of Work (SOWs) to support sales activities and communicate customer requirements to Product and Engineering teams.

•

Evaluate solution scope, feasibility, and technical risks, working with customers and internal stakeholders to identify practical solutions and overcome implementation challenges.

•

Collaborate across Sales, Engineering, Product, and Public Safety teams to align customer expectations with technical capabilities and product development.

•

Apply AI tools to accelerate prototyping, problem-solving, and solution development while continuously expanding knowledge of the products and market.

Requirements

•

At least 5 years of engineering experience, including 3 or more years in a customer-facing technical role, ideally in implementation engineering, post-sales engineering, or sales engineering.

•

Experience working with complex API-based or SaaS products, particularly in technical pre-sales, discovery, product demonstrations, implementation, or post-sales engineering.

•

Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Go, JavaScript, or TypeScript; Python is preferred.

•

Familiarity with deploying technical solutions through cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and/or containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

•

Ability to engage directly with clients, understand their business and technical needs, and translate requirements into effective technical solutions.

•

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both engineering teams and executive stakeholders.

•

Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to support customer engagements that advance commercial opportunities.

•

A proactive, self-motivated approach to problem-solving, with the ability to take ownership of ambiguous challenges and develop solutions independently.

•

Adaptability and comfort working in a high-growth environment where priorities and requirements may evolve quickly.

•

Hands-on experience building with AI tools and an AI-forward mindset, demonstrated through prototyping, problem-solving, and improving workflows.

•

Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.

•

Experience in telecommunications is considered an asset but is not required.

Benefits

•

Competitive base salary ranging from CA$210,000 to CA$250,000 , depending on experience, skills, education, location, and other job-related factors.

•

Potential on-target earnings (OTE) ranging from CA$280,000 to CA$333,000 .

•

Eligibility for equity options.

•

Competitive benefits package.

•

Flexible and dynamic start-up work environment.

•

Opportunity to collaborate with a talented, mission-driven team on technology addressing major public safety challenges.
