Senior Salesforce Functional Analyst(BA)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Salesforce Functional Analyst (BA) based in India .

In this role, you will translate complex business needs into effective Salesforce solutions that support client relationship management, proposal development, and contract lifecycle processes. You will play a key role in gathering requirements, designing functional solutions, and ensuring successful implementation across business teams. Working closely with project managers, developers, QA specialists, and stakeholders, you will contribute throughout the full delivery lifecycle, from initial analysis to user acceptance testing and deployment. You will also drive process improvements, support change management, and help maximize Salesforce adoption and operational efficiency. Accountabilities

Lead requirements-gathering activities through stakeholder workshops, interviews, and business discussions to identify and document functional needs.

•

Translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and functional specifications for technical teams.

•

Create and maintain Visio process flows documenting existing workflows, proposed changes, and Salesforce functionality.

•

Collaborate with technical teams to design scalable Salesforce solutions aligned with business objectives and operational requirements.

•

Evaluate Salesforce features, declarative capabilities, and third-party applications to recommend solutions that improve business processes.

•

Support Salesforce configuration and administration using declarative tools, including Flow, Process Builder, Validation Rules, and Approval Processes.

•

Develop User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, test scenarios, and supporting documentation to validate implemented solutions.

•

Coordinate with business stakeholders on test data preparation, demonstrations, training, and UAT execution.

•

Analyze testing results, identify defects, and work with development and QA teams to ensure timely resolution.

•

Maintain Salesforce configurations and provide functional support for production issues when required.

•

Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, functionality, and user adoption.

•

Work closely with project managers, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to align expectations and delivery priorities.

•

Facilitate communication between IT and business teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and provide regular project updates.

•

Develop and implement change management strategies to support the adoption of new Salesforce features and processes.

•

Create training materials and deliver user training sessions to promote effective platform utilization.

•

Monitor Salesforce releases and emerging capabilities, identifying opportunities to enhance existing solutions.

•

Mentor junior team members and share best practices in Salesforce business analysis, requirements management, and solution delivery.

Requirements

•

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.

•

Salesforce Administrator Certification is required.

•

At least 5 years of hands-on Salesforce experience, with a strong focus on business analysis and solution design.

•

Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data models, business processes, security models, and platform best practices.

•

Knowledge of the complete sales cycle, including lead generation, request for proposal (RFP) processes, and contract lifecycle management.

•

Demonstrated experience delivering Salesforce projects from initial requirements and solution design through implementation.

•

Practical experience designing and implementing solutions using Salesforce declarative tools, such as Flow, Process Builder, Validation Rules, and Approval Processes.

•

Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and other relevant Salesforce products.

•

Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile delivery environments.

•

Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Visio.

•

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Visio.

•

Familiarity with API testing tools and techniques.

•

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and organizational skills.

•

Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management abilities, including experience engaging with senior and C-suite stakeholders.

•

Proven ability to provide high-quality customer service, manage production issues, and maintain attention to detail.

•

A proactive, independent, and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

•

Flexibility to work either 5 PM–2 AM or 6 PM–3 AM IST and provide support during weekend releases when required.

•

Previous experience in healthcare, clinical development, or a related industry is an advantage.

•

Additional Salesforce credentials, such as Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, or Salesforce Certified Business Analyst, are preferred.
