About the Role
As Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will own how ClassWallet wins in its core markets: Education Savings Account (ESA) and school choice programs, and K-12 schools and districts. You will also own how we position the ClassWallet platform as a whole as it evolves. You will report to the Senior Director, Marketing.
You will also maintain the company-level message framework that holds together every market we serve, and our messaging for new markets will build on your work. ClassWallet is moving to a product-led operating model, with product marketing at the center of that shift. You will partner with Product Management from business case to launch, and make sure Sales and our proposal team can explain clearly why we win.
This is a hands-on role. You will write the messaging, build the enablement packet, and talk directly to the agency leaders, families and educators who use ClassWallet. Pricing is set by the CPO with analysis from Product Strategy & Insights, and product requirements by Product Management; you provide market input to both.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the company-level message framework that every market's messaging must fit, with approval from the Senior Director, Marketing.
- Own positioning and messaging for ESA and school choice programs, K-12 schools and districts, and the ClassWallet platform as a whole, for both the agencies and districts that buy ClassWallet and the families and educators who use it.
- Build and maintain sales enablement: pitch deck, battlecards, talk tracks, demo narratives and objection handling.
- Own competitive intelligence and positioning for the core markets, using win/loss analysis from Product Strategy & Insights.
- Plan and deliver launch marketing for Tier 1–3 launches under our tiered launch model, and review the Tier 4 launches that product managers run from templates.
- Bring buyer and market insight into product discovery, and join discovery where go-to-market risk is high.
- Supply the messaging used in proposals, customer service communications, on the website and in campaigns.
- Train the trainers: equip sales leadership to drive adoption of the enablement you build.
Requirements
- Experience marketing to government, education or other public-sector buyers.
- A track record of positioning and messaging that measurably improved win rates or sales effectiveness.
- Experience running launches end to end with product and sales teams.
- Hands-on competitive intelligence experience; win/loss experience a plus.
- An excellent writer who can turn complex policy and financial detail into clear language.
- Comfortable interviewing buyers and users, from state program directors to parents.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to command a room.
- 6+ years of B2B product marketing experience, ideally at a SaaS company.
Preferred
- Experience with ESA, school choice, K-12 district or other education funding programs.
- Experience in fintech or payments.
- Experience at a company moving from a sales-led to a product-led operating model.
- Degree in a technical field such as engineering.
