About the job

About IP Fabric

Join a pioneering force in network automation!

At IP Fabric, we enable people to uncover the truth about their networks. Built by network professionals and industry experts, our innovative solutions are transforming how enterprises manage their networks. As a post-Series B company, we're expanding rapidly across Europe, the U.S., and beyond.

About the Role

At IP Fabric, we help the world's largest enterprises understand and assure their networks. Behind our product is a platform our engineering teams rely on every day, and that is where you come in.

As an Infra Ops Engineer , you'll join a small, hands-on infrastructure team that runs our internal platform: Hetzner infrastructure, Linux servers, hypervisors, all managed as code with Puppet and Ansible. You'll keep things reliable, share on-call (business hours only), and above all make things better : leading infra projects that make engineering faster, automating repetitive work and increasing resiliency.

We see internal engineers as our customers. Communication, ownership and a proactive, helpful attitude matter here as much as technical skill.

What You'll Do

  • Support engineering as our customer , with the infrastructure they need.
  • Own and deliver significant infrastructure projects end to end, from proposal and planning through rollout and documentation
  • Bring fresh ideas and challenge the status quo constructively
  • Operate and improve our Linux-based infrastructure across Hetzner VMs (together with Proxmox hypervisors, bare-metal machines etc), using Puppet and Ansible.
  • Take part in a weekly, business-hours on-call rotation : handle requests from engineers, respond to monitoring alerts and run upgrades
  • Improve monitoring, alerting and observability so issues are caught before engineers notice them
  • Share knowledge through documentation, runbooks and pairing, to raise the team's bus factor

What You'll Need

  • A service-minded attitude towards the engineers you support
  • A track record of owning improvements proactively , not just executing tickets
  • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills in production environments
  • Configuration management tool experience - SaltStack, Chef, Ansible, Puppet
  • Solid scripting in Bash and Python for automation
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools
  • Experience with on-call or operational responsibility, and a calm, structured approach to incidents
  • Clear communication in English (spoken and written)
  • EU citizenship or other eligibility to work in the EU

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Hetzner or other dedicated/bare-metal hosting
  • Ansible
  • Proxmox or other KVM -based virtualisation
  • GitLab CI/CD pipelines and runners

Benefits  &  Perks

  • 25 days of holidays + 5 flexi-days.
  • Pluxee Flexi Card (up to 16 000 CZK per year - valid only for Czech employees)
  • Anniversary rewards.
  • Collaboration with diverse, international teams.
  • A pet-friendly office in the center of beautiful Prague.
  • Complementary and yummy snacks, coffee, brew and refreshments in the office.
  • Regular team and company events.

Join us to experience the unique culture of a founder-led startup, where from top to bottom everyone is hands-on and has a chance to make a tangible impact on influential enterprises worldwide. Being part of IP Fabric means being part of a flexible environment that prioritizes work-life balance and growth opportunities.
