About the job
Join our team as a Sales Development Representative and help virtualize biological experiments to accelerate discovery !
About Turbine
A lab without limits, built for biopharma.
Turbine’s Virtual Lab (vLab®) enables scientists to run Virtual Assays across millions of biological conditions far beyond traditional laboratory throughput. Instead of narrowing hypotheses to fit experimental constraints, scientists can explore the broader biological search space computationally before deciding what to validate in the wet lab. Turbine doesn’t replace the wet lab. It makes every experiment count. Through an integrated lab-in-the-loop workflow, virtual findings become testable hypotheses, with validation results feeding back to strengthen subsequent predictions within the workflow.
In deployed programs, Turbine has reduced decision timelines from 12-18 months to approximately two months while cutting wet-lab experiments by more than 50%.
Working with scientists at leading biopharma like MSD (Merck & Co.), AstraZeneca and Bayer, Turbine’s virtual assays have rationalized experiments across more than 30 discovery programs.
Backed by leading tech and industry investors like Accel, MSD Global Health Innovation Fund, Interactive Venture Partners and Beiersdorf, Turbine is turning biology into an engineering discipline.
The Role
As we scale our commercial organization, we are looking for a Sales Development Representative to help us systematically identify, engage and develop new opportunities across our target biopharma accounts.
The SDR will be responsible for building a qualified pipeline for Turbine's Business Development team.
This is not a high-volume, transactional SDR position. Turbine sells complex scientific solutions to sophisticated enterprise customers, often involving multiple scientific, technical and business stakeholders. Success therefore requires a thoughtful, account-based approach to business development.
You will work closely with Business Development and Marketing to identify priority accounts and stakeholders, develop targeted outreach, follow up on conferences and campaigns, and convert initial interest into qualified commercial conversations.
You will report into Business Development, with a dotted line to Sales Operations to ensure strong CRM discipline, pipeline tracking and reporting.
Key Responsibilities

- Identify relevant scientific, technical and business decision-makers within target organizations.
- Develop personalized outreach across email, LinkedIn and other appropriate channels.
- Generate qualified meetings for Turbine's Business Development team.
- Identify new opportunities within both new and existing accounts.
- Re-engage dormant prospects and previously identified opportunities.
- Work with Business Development to develop account-specific engagement strategies.
Conference & Marketing Follow-Up

- Support meeting generation ahead of conferences.
- Ensure rapid and systematic follow-up of conference leads and interactions.
- Follow up on webinars, white papers, publications and other marketing activity.
- Help convert marketing engagement into qualified commercial conversations.
Qualification & Pipeline Development
- Conduct initial qualification of inbound and outbound prospects.
- Understand the customer's scientific interests, therapeutic areas, programs and potential use cases.
- Hand qualified opportunities to the appropriate Business Development Manager with clear context and next steps.
- Track progression from initial engagement through qualified opportunity.
CRM & Sales Operations
- Maintain accurate and timely records in CRM (Hubspot)
- Ensure contacts, accounts, meetings, opportunities and follow-up activities are consistently captured.
- Work with Sales Operations to maintain data quality and appropriate sales processes.
- Support pipeline reporting and analysis.
- Help identify patterns in outreach, conversion and account engagement that can improve commercial performance.
