Salary : Php. 55,000-60,000

Requirements
The company is an established Christchurch-based foundation specialist led by an owner with over 25 years of construction experience, originally qualified as a carpenter. The business specializes in ribraft foundations across all Canterbury land classes (TC1 to TC3), while also delivering insulated slabs, new home foundations, earthworks, and site preparation. A single dedicated crew manages the entire build initiation, delivering finished foundations ready for framing, with every project signed off by a Licensed Building Practitioner.
Estimating & Quoting (Primary Focus)
- Review architectural, structural and engineering drawings for residential foundations and prepare accurate quantity take-offs
- Measure and price the elements of each job, including concrete, reinforcing steel and mesh, insulation or pods, formwork, earthworks and hardfill, and plumbing provisions
- Prepare clear, competitive quotes using pricing
- Keep up with high quote volumes, turning plans around quickly and following up quotes that haven't been accepted
- Raise questions with team and the builder on missing information, unclear drawings or risks, rather than guessing
Pricing, Suppliers & Job Costing
- Gather and compare supplier and subcontractor prices, and keep the pricing database up to date
- Build and maintain estimating spreadsheets and templates, so quotes are consistent and reusable
- Support job costing by handing accepted quotes across to the operations side with complete scope details
Systems & Admin
- Keep quotes, drawings and job files organised in OneDrive and in the construction management platform as it is rolled out (Obstra)
- Help set up and document the quoting process so the estimating function runs smoothly as volume grows
- Handle related admin as needed, with potential to take on lead generation and supplier and subcontractor liaison over time
- Quick to learn, able to pick up pricing and systems within days
- Self-directed and reliable under a high workload, with a habit of double-checking numbers
- Proactive in flagging issues and asking the right questions early
- Organised and methodical, keeping files and quotes easy to find
- Committed to a long-term role that can grow with the business
- No pay listed
