About the job

Education Perfect is an EdTech platform designed to empower educators and amplify their impact in the classroom. We help teachers personalise learning at scale through powerful learning, assessment and insights tools, supporting teachers and students to reach their full potential.

We’re looking for experienced QCAA certified teachers to support the validation of Queensland Legal Studies question sets and the moderation of student responses. In this contract based role, you’ll review curriculum aligned questions, stimulus materials, marking rubrics and learning guides and/or moderate student responses to support the development of AI powered marking functionality.

This is an opportunity to contribute your subject expertise to an education platform used by teachers and students, helping ensure our Legal Studies content is accurate, high quality and aligned with QCAA requirements while supporting the development of AI powered assessment tools.

This opportunity might suit you if you

  • Have at least 3 years of experience teaching QCAA Legal Studies at Years 11 and 12
  • Have experience reviewing curriculum aligned educational content and providing constructive feedback
  • Have strong attention to detail and can assess the quality and accuracy of questions, stimulus materials and marking criteria
  • Are confident applying marking rubrics consistently and providing meaningful feedback on student responses
  • Are tech savvy and enjoy working with technology
  • Can work independently and manage your time effectively to meet project deadlines

Project details

The project will commence in November 2026, with approximately 20 hours of work anticipated across the contract, depending on your assigned deliverables. The engagement will be contract based, with payment based on completed deliverables.

The work will involve

  • Question set review and validation: Review curriculum aligned Legal Studies questions, checking questions, curriculum outcomes, stimulus materials, marking rubrics and learning guides
  • Quality assurance and feedback: Provide clear recommendations on whether question sets are ready for publication, suggest improvements and review any changes made in response to your feedback
  • AI marking moderation: Mark sample student responses to exam revision content using your subject expertise and provide feedback based on your marking
  • Pre-publication moderation: Help ensure student responses and marking are consistent and accurate, with expert reviewed examples supporting the development of AI powered marking functionality

Payment and deliverables

  • $60 AUD onboarding payment
  • $200 AUD per completed question set review
  • $420 AUD per completed AI moderation deliverable

The expected workload is approximately 3 hours per question set review, plus any required reworking time. Each moderation deliverable is expected to take approximately 7 hours, covering around 7 questions and 21 student responses.

If you’re passionate about Legal Studies education and would love to help shape high quality digital learning resources and AI powered assessment tools, we’d love to hear from you!

Please apply online with your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant teaching experience, QCAA curriculum expertise and suitability for the project.
