As a Python Developer, you will contribute to building and maintaining reliable, scalable applications, with a particular focus on payment processing systems and third-party integrations. You will work across backend and frontend services, designing secure APIs and ensuring seamless communication with external payment providers. In this role, you will leverage modern Python frameworks, asynchronous programming, and cloud-native technologies to deliver efficient, high-performance solutions. You will also integrate AI-assisted development tools into your daily workflow to accelerate coding, testing, and problem-solving. Working with technologies such as FastAPI, Django, PostgreSQL, Docker, and Kubernetes, you will help strengthen system reliability and maintainability. This fully remote opportunity offers a collaborative, technology-driven environment where engineering excellence, automation, and continuous improvement are central to delivering impactful digital solutions.
Accountabilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend and frontend services using Python, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Design, build, and maintain REST APIs for payment processing and third-party service integrations.
- Integrate external payment service providers (PSPs), including pay-in and pay-out functionality, payment status callbacks, and transaction lifecycle management.
- Ensure secure, reliable, and efficient processing of payment transactions and sensitive information, following appropriate security and data protection practices.
- Incorporate AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex, into daily workflows to improve productivity, code quality, and development efficiency.
- Deploy, operate, and maintain services in Kubernetes environments, supporting reliable application delivery and ongoing operations.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot technical issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to system stability and reliability.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable code and develop automated tests to ensure software quality and reduce regression risks.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and release processes to maintain engineering standards and promote knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external payment providers to troubleshoot integration challenges, resolve technical issues, and ensure smooth service operations.
Requirements
- At least two years of commercial experience in Python development, with a solid understanding of software engineering principles and production environments.
- Hands-on, daily experience with AI-powered coding tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or comparable solutions, with the ability to integrate them effectively into development workflows.
- Strong practical experience with FastAPI and/or Django for building and maintaining web applications and APIs.
- Solid understanding of asynchronous programming in Python, including asyncio , async/await , and event loop behavior.
- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL, including database design, indexing strategies, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Practical experience working with MongoDB and Redis for data storage, caching, or related application requirements.
- Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or similar technologies used for asynchronous communication and distributed systems.
- Experience with Docker and a good understanding of Kubernetes deployment and operational practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and automated delivery pipelines, preferably using GitLab CI/CD.
- Ability to write clean, scalable, testable, and maintainable code while following established engineering best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- English proficiency at B1 level or above, sufficient for reading technical documentation and communicating in writing.
- A collaborative, proactive approach to teamwork, code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous learning.
