About Flinks
Flinks is the embedded finance platform that brings together connectivity, intelligence, and payments — giving businesses the infrastructure they need to build and deliver seamless financial experiences at scale.
As a leader in Open Finance in Canada, we’ve grown since 2016 into one of North America’s most trusted platforms for financial data access, enrichment, and money movement. We work with innovators across many industries, including lending, fintech, banking, insurance, and wealth management.
Today, our platform connects to 15,000+ financial institutions across North America and powers over 1M monthly connections. We also give our customers unprecedented visibility into 4,500+ real-time financial insights to support smarter decisioning. Companies rely on Flinks to streamline onboarding, verify income, assess credit risk, and power faster payment experiences.
We’re on a mission to drive financial innovation and help businesses build financial experiences that feel effortless, connected, and customer-first. That’s where you come in.
About the Team
The Payments team builds the products that move money on the Flinks platform: EFT, Interac and Guaranteed EFT, which gives end users faster access to their funds. We work with banks, credit unions and fintechs across Canada that need money movement to be fast, reliable and compliant.
As Payments grows, we’re investing in quality, automation and operational excellence. This role sits at the center of that work, partnering daily with Product, Engineering, Implementation and Client teams.
What You’ll Do
You own the day-to-day product health of our standard Payments products. You’ll:
- Own and prioritize the Payments backlog (bugs, risks, improvements) and write clear product requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Own the quality gate: test strategy, regression testing and release sign-off.
- Watch production health: payment and settlement alerts, incident follow-up and root-cause actions.
- Guide new bank and fintech clients through standard Payments integrations, with Architects, Developers and Implementation Managers.
- Keep public docs, runbooks and test cases accurate and up to date.
- Maintain the due-diligence material banks ask for (SLAs, security answers, test evidence).
- Act as a trusted point of contact for Payments clients on quality, releases and incidents.
Who You Are
- At least 5 years in product quality or product ownership, ideally in SaaS.
- You know how payments work: rails, fund flows, settlement, reversals.
- You’ve owned releases for production systems where errors cost money.
- You spot patterns in recurring defects and fix the cause, not only the bug.
- You manage several priorities at once and know what matters first.
- You explain technical topics clearly to engineers, clients and leadership.
- You are comfortable to lead all scrum ceremonies
Great to Haves
- Experience with banks or regulated financial services (FINTRAC, AML, OSFI).
- Familiarity with APIs, automated testing and observability tools.
The Interview Process
