About the job

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal Time & Attendance Solutions Consultant based in the United States.

As a Principal Time & Attendance Solutions Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in helping customers and partners successfully implement and optimize a workforce management technology platform. You will combine technical expertise, consulting skills, and hands-on problem-solving to support the entire customer journey, from initial discovery and product demonstrations to configuration and post-launch troubleshooting. Working across both pre-sales and post-sales activities, you will translate complex workforce management requirements into practical, effective technology solutions. You will also empower implementation partners through technical guidance, platform training, and configuration support. This is an opportunity to become a trusted product expert while directly influencing customer satisfaction, implementation quality, and long-term platform success. You will thrive in an autonomous, customer-focused environment where technical ownership, adaptability, and practical execution are essential.

Accountabilities

  • Develop deep platform expertise: Quickly build comprehensive knowledge of the workforce management technology platform, including its features, capabilities, configuration options, and technical requirements.
  • Support pre-sales activities: Demonstrate the platform to prospective customers and partners, explaining its capabilities and showing how it addresses specific workforce management needs.
  • Deliver product training: Provide practical training and guidance to customers and implementation partners, ensuring they understand how to use and configure the platform effectively.
  • Lead direct customer implementations: Conduct discovery calls and project meetings to understand customer requirements, recommend appropriate solutions, and configure the platform to meet operational needs.
  • Advise implementation partners: Provide technical consulting and configuration guidance to partners, helping them implement solutions that align with customer requirements and platform best practices.
  • Manage technical post-sales support: Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues affecting live customer deployments, ensuring reliable platform performance and a positive customer experience.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions: Understand customer workforce processes and requirements, identify configuration options, and recommend practical implementation approaches.
  • Drive implementation quality: Support successful deployments by identifying potential issues, providing timely technical recommendations, and ensuring configurations meet customer expectations.
  • Work independently and proactively: Manage multiple customer and partner engagements, prioritize technical challenges, and take ownership of issues through resolution.
  • Strengthen customer and partner relationships: Maintain a service-oriented approach throughout the implementation lifecycle, building trust through responsiveness, technical expertise, and effective communication.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience working with time tracking, payroll, or workforce management applications.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a technical support, software implementation, product consulting, or customer-facing technology environment.
  • Strong understanding of workforce management processes and the technical requirements involved in implementing time and attendance solutions.
  • Hands-on experience configuring, supporting, or implementing enterprise workforce management or HR technology platforms.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following platforms is strongly preferred: Workday, Dayforce, UKG Pro, UKG Ready, isolved, SAP SuccessFactors, or Employment Hero .
  • Demonstrated ability to lead customer discovery sessions, understand business requirements, and translate them into effective technical configurations.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a strong commitment to delivering responsive, professional, and solution-oriented support.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take initiative when addressing complex technical challenges.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities, combined with intellectual curiosity and resourcefulness.
  • Proficiency with IT and business interaction tools used for customer communication, project coordination, and technical support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A motivated, adaptable, and customer-focused mindset, with the ability to operate effectively in a remote working environment.

Additional skills that will make you stand out

  • Experience with iOS device configuration and Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
  • Knowledge of API technologies and integrations, including REST APIs, webhooks, XML, and JSON.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations, particularly the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable privacy requirements.
  • Experience supporting complex workforce management integrations or multi-system enterprise environments.
  • Previous experience enabling implementation partners and supporting indirect customer deployment models.

Benefits

  • Competitive annual base salary ranging from $180,000 to $210,000 USD , depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Fully remote working arrangement, allowing you to work from home.
  • Opportunity to take on a senior, highly impactful technical consulting role.
  • Broad ownership across pre-sales, implementation, partner enablement, and post-sales support.
  • Direct influence on customer implementation quality and platform adoption.
