About the job

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal Product Designer based in the United States.

We are looking for a Principal Product Designer to shape intuitive, human-centered experiences for advanced AI platforms and secure data infrastructure. You will lead end-to-end design across complex enterprise products, including agentic workflows, collaborative data environments, and permission-controlled information sharing. Working closely with Product and Engineering, you will translate sophisticated technical architectures and high-stakes customer needs into clear, trusted, and scalable experiences. You will influence product strategy, balance technical constraints with user value, and guide design from early discovery through detailed execution. This role also offers the opportunity to establish design standards, mentor colleagues, and help advance an AI-first approach to product design.

Accountabilities

•

End-to-end product design: Own UX/UI design across the product suite, including AI-native platforms, agentic workflow interfaces, collaborative data environments, and permission-controlled data-sharing experiences.

•

Workflow exploration and prototyping: Rapidly translate high-level workflows into low-fidelity mockups and prototypes, giving Engineering concrete concepts to evaluate and accelerating iteration.

•

Secure-by-default experiences: Design interaction patterns that make data visibility, access control, permissions, and sharing central to the user experience.

•

Strategic product influence: Partner with stakeholders to evaluate tradeoffs between technical complexity and user value, contributing to product priorities and roadmap direction.

•

System-level design: Lead design initiatives for data-driven platforms, creating cohesive workflows and scalable systems rather than focusing on isolated screens.

•

Technical collaboration: Work closely with Engineering to understand system architecture, explore technical constraints, align on backend logic, and support effective implementation.

•

High-fidelity execution: Translate technical requirements and security constraints into polished product concepts, prototypes, component documentation, and clear UI copy.

•

AI-enabled design: Champion the responsible use of AI in human-centered design processes and contribute to the evolution of AI-first design practices.

•

Design systems and standards: Establish and continuously improve design patterns and principles that support consistency, usability, and scalability across the product portfolio.

•

Design leadership: Mentor other designers, strengthen internal processes, and help raise the quality and impact of the broader design team.

Requirements

•

Professional experience: At least 8 years of product design experience, including 3 or more years working in complex enterprise or technical domains such as AI platforms, cybersecurity, identity, or data-intensive systems.

•

Technical fluency: Comfortable collaborating directly with Engineering, understanding system architecture, and designing within real technical constraints. Able to synthesize complex information quickly and use those insights to influence product direction.

•

Agentic and collaborative workflows: Experience solving UX challenges involving multiple users or agents interacting with shared states, and the ability to make complex workflows intuitive and understandable.

•

Strategic curiosity: Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of asking insightful questions to uncover underlying technical challenges and user needs, particularly in high-stakes environments.

•

Systems thinking: Proven ability to design complex workflows and security-focused products where trust, precision, and data protection are essential.

•

Visual design expertise: Strong visual sensibility and the ability to bring clarity, usability, and craft to sophisticated technical interfaces.

•

Design leadership and mentorship: Passion for design excellence, with experience mentoring designers, improving team processes, and elevating the quality of collective work.

•

Ownership and initiative: Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to improving the products, processes, and teams you contribute to.

•

Collaboration and communication: Comfortable leading discussions with curiosity, challenging established approaches constructively, valuing diverse perspectives, and working toward shared outcomes.

•

Growth mindset: Open to feedback, eager to explore new ideas, and committed to continuously developing your skills and supporting a positive team culture.

Benefits

•

Salary: Annual compensation ranging from $160,000 to $190,000 USD, depending on experience.

•

Retirement plan: 401(k) with an employer contribution of up to 5%.

•

Healthcare: Fully funded health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family, effective from your first day.

•

Family support: Up to 24 weeks of paid parental leave, a four-week paid return-to-work program, and a $10,000 family-forming benefit covering fertility treatments, adoption, and surrogacy.

•

Flexible time off: Flexible vacation policy with no fixed annual limit or accrual period, Summer Fridays, and an extended holiday period in December.

•

Remote flexibility: Work-from-home flexibility, access to three collaborative office locations, and the opportunity to work remotely from eligible locations for up to two months per year.

•

Professional growth: Individualized development opportunities, internal and external mentorship, tailored goals and feedback sessions, learning programs, and leadership development.

•

Wellness support: Access to a dedicated wellness adviser to help navigate available programs and resources.

•

Commuting support: Benefits designed to help cover commuting costs.

•

Team connection: In-person events that encourage collaboration and strengthen relationships across teams.
