This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior PowerBuilder Developer based in Brazil.

We are looking for an experienced Senior PowerBuilder Developer to design, develop, maintain, and enhance business-critical applications across modern and legacy environments. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of reliable and efficient software solutions, from requirements gathering and technical architecture to implementation and deployment. You will work closely with technical teams, functional specialists, and end users to translate business needs into effective solutions. The position also involves mentoring developers, reviewing code, and supporting technical decision-making. You will have opportunities to lead small teams, coordinate projects, and contribute to continuous improvement. This is a fully remote opportunity under a CLT employment contract.

Accountabilities

As a senior technical contributor, you will oversee development activities while ensuring solution quality, effective collaboration, and alignment with business requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

Developing new implementations, enhancements, and corrections across existing systems.

Collaborating with technical and functional teams to design efficient and innovative solutions.

•

Mentoring junior and mid-level developers, sharing technical knowledge and development best practices.

•

Conducting code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with established standards.

•

Leading requirements-gathering meetings with users and translating business needs into functional and technical specifications.

•

Proposing system architectures and designing relational data models.

•

Implementing functional and non-functional requirements.

•

Coordinating and executing system deployments.

•

Handling corrective and evolutionary support requests.

•

Providing technical guidance and assistance to other analysts.

•

Supporting teamwork and leading small development teams when needed.

•

Applying Agile and Waterfall methodologies throughout project delivery.

•

Managing small-scale projects and coordinating their execution.

Requirements

We are looking for a technically strong professional with a strong sense of ownership, collaboration, and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. You should be comfortable working across both modern and legacy technology environments and capable of taking responsibility for technical decisions and project activities.

•

A bachelor's degree in Systems Analysis and Development or a related field.

•

Strong experience with PL/SQL, PowerBuilder (preferably version 2012 or later), and XML.

•

Solid knowledge of Oracle Database 12g or later, as well as SQL Server.

•

Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server (TFS), and Azure.

•

Familiarity with PowerDesigner for data modeling, SQL Developer, Microsoft Project, and InfoMaker.

•

Experience integrating systems through Web Services (PowerBuilder / VB.NET published on IIS), APIs, text files, XML, XLS files, database links (DBLinks), and direct database connections.

•

Ability to gather and analyze requirements, design technical solutions, and support implementation and deployment.

•

Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.

•

Ability to provide technical leadership and coordinate small teams or projects.

Nice to have

•

Experience with React Native.

•

Native Android development experience using Kotlin or Java.
