Accountabilities

  • Monitor and manage network alerts, incidents, and escalated Service Desk tickets, ensuring timely investigation, resolution, and escalation to Network Engineering when necessary.
  • Provide day-to-day administration and technical support for client network infrastructures, including Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), wireless networks, and related connectivity services.
  • Take ownership of assigned service tickets from initial assessment through resolution, maintaining accurate technical documentation and providing clear, timely status updates.
  • Monitor network performance, analyze operational trends, identify potential vulnerabilities or service disruptions, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot network connectivity, infrastructure, and performance issues while ensuring reliable and secure network operations.
  • Coordinate with internet service providers, telecommunications carriers, technology vendors, and other external partners to investigate and resolve network-related incidents.
  • Participate in infrastructure projects, including equipment deployments, network installations, and the configuration of switches, wireless access points, and other network devices.
  • Collaborate with Service Desk teams, field technicians, Systems Engineering, and Identity Management teams to support technical projects, particularly during new client onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate records of network configurations, infrastructure changes, troubleshooting activities, and operational procedures.
  • Contribute to the standardization and improvement of network administration processes, technical workflows, and infrastructure management practices.
  • Work closely with senior network engineers to strengthen technical expertise, share knowledge, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay informed about emerging networking technologies, infrastructure best practices, and cybersecurity risks to ensure effective and up-to-date technical support.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support and maintain network availability when required.
  • Travel occasionally to client locations when necessary to support technical deployments, infrastructure projects, or other operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Networking, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience that includes network administration.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in network administration or a closely related technical support role.
  • Practical experience or formal training in LAN, WAN, wireless networking, and VoIP technologies and architectures.
  • Understanding of network operating systems, network monitoring and management platforms, connectivity infrastructure, and application-layer protocols.
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including switches, wireless access points, connectivity services, and related network components.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes, resolve incidents, and recognize when issues require escalation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tickets, projects, and competing priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating productively with clients, colleagues, managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Professionalism, accountability, sound judgment, and confidence when interacting directly with clients in a service-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach, with the ability to learn quickly, take ownership of responsibilities, and adapt to changing technical requirements.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with networking technologies, infrastructure standards, and evolving cybersecurity threats.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or another relevant advanced networking certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience in healthcare IT, managed service providers (MSPs), or technology services organizations is an advantage.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and occasionally travel to client sites across the United States.
  • Must be based in the United States.
