We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Software Configuration Management Specialist to support and optimize software delivery across complex z/OS environments. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Panvalet and ChangeMan ZMF to manage source code libraries, control software changes, and ensure reliable deployments. Working closely with development, operations, and governance teams, you will help streamline workflows and resolve technical challenges. You will also contribute to automation initiatives, process standardization, and continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to work on mission-critical mainframe systems in a collaborative, fully remote environment while continuing to develop your technical expertise.

Accountabilities

•

Manage and maintain Panvalet libraries containing source code, JCL, macros, and copybooks, ensuring proper organization, version control, and availability.

•

Administer ChangeMan ZMF packages throughout the software delivery lifecycle, covering development, testing, quality assurance, and production environments.

•

Perform impact analysis, investigate and resolve package promotion failures, and ensure compliance with software change management and audit requirements.

•

Automate Software Configuration Management (SCM) processes using REXX, CLIST, and JCL scripting to improve operational efficiency and consistency.

•

Manage mainframe datasets and utilities to support reliable source code and software deployment processes.

•

Collaborate with developers, operations specialists, and governance teams to coordinate changes and ensure smooth software delivery.

•

Document configuration management procedures, establish consistent working practices, and provide technical guidance and training to relevant teams.

•

Identify opportunities to improve automation, operational reliability, and change management processes.

Requirements

•

At least 8 years of professional experience in mainframe environments, preferably in software configuration management or similar technical roles.

•

Strong knowledge of mainframe fundamentals, including z/OS, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and dataset types such as PS, PDS, and VSAM.

•

Solid experience with JCL for batch processing, job execution, and mainframe utilities.

•

Familiarity with programming languages and technologies such as COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, and Easytrieve.

•

Experience with mainframe scheduling tools such as Control-M and CA-7.

•

Advanced expertise in CA Panvalet, including library administration, version control, member management, and the use of PAN# utilities for maintenance and automation.

•

Hands-on experience with Serena ChangeMan ZMF, particularly package lifecycle management, impact analysis, audit compliance, and troubleshooting.

•

Practical scripting and automation skills using REXX and CLIST.

•

Strong knowledge of JCL utilities, including SORT, IDCAMS, IEBGENER, and IEBCOPY.

•

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

•

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.

•

High attention to detail and the ability to document processes and provide technical training.

•

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred.

•

Certifications in ITIL, Six Sigma, or PMP are considered an advantage.

•

Previous experience in staff augmentation or application services projects is beneficial.

•

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cross-functional team environments is a plus.

Benefits

•

Fully remote working arrangement within Brazil.

•

Full-time employment opportunity.

•

Exposure to mission-critical mainframe systems and complex enterprise technology environments.

•

Opportunities for continuous professional development and technical specialization.

•

Access to hands-on learning opportunities and certification programs across major technology platforms.

•

Personalized career development goals aligned with individual ambitions.

•

Ongoing feedback, coaching, and opportunities to expand technical expertise.

•

Well-being initiatives designed to support financial, mental, physical, and social health.
