Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 21 and Spring Boot.
- Develop and integrate REST and SOAP APIs to enable communication between internal and external systems.
- Implement and maintain event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka for asynchronous communication between services.
- Work with SQL databases, including database design, query optimization, and data persistence.
- Develop and maintain automated integration tests using TestContainers to ensure application reliability and quality.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend applications to improve performance, stability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and business analysts, to deliver reliable software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement of development practices.
- Contribute to application deployment, monitoring, and maintenance in containerized environments.
Qualifications

Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes for container orchestration and application deployment.
- Previous experience in banking or financial services, particularly with banking system integrations.
- Understanding of transaction processing, data consistency, and secure communication between financial systems.
- Familiarity with Docker and cloud-native application development.
