About the job

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Local Marketing & Partnerships based in Brazil.

We are looking for a hands-on Head of Local Marketing & Partnerships to build and lead a local marketing function across multiple markets. You will develop market-specific strategies that strengthen brand awareness, attract guests, and generate new owner leads through meaningful local relationships. As the first hire in this function, you will have the autonomy to shape the strategy, establish processes, and manage the budget from day one. Working closely with area managers, you will identify opportunities, build partnerships, launch campaigns, and bring the brand closer to local communities. The role combines strategic planning with practical execution, from negotiating partnerships to managing branded materials and local vendors. You will also create a scalable playbook that enables teams across different markets to deliver consistent, effective local marketing. This is an entrepreneurial opportunity for someone who enjoys proactive outreach, building relationships, and turning local opportunities into measurable results.

Accountabilities

•

Develop clear, market-specific local marketing strategies in collaboration with area managers, adapting activities to each market’s audience and opportunities.

•

Own and manage local marketing budgets across multiple markets, monitoring performance, evaluating returns, and recommending budget adjustments based on results.

•

Identify, approach, negotiate, and secure local partnerships that increase brand visibility and generate guest bookings and owner leads.

•

Plan and execute localized campaigns, promotions, content, and offers to support direct bookings and owner acquisition.

•

Oversee the physical elements of local marketing, including branded merchandise, guest welcome materials, printed collateral, vendor relationships, production quality, fulfillment, and inventory.

•

Support new market and hotel launches by developing local marketing plans that establish visibility and community presence from the outset.

•

Strengthen local reputation and awareness through business listings, local press, and relationships with relevant community stakeholders.

•

Build and maintain a scalable local marketing playbook, including templates, outreach scripts, marketing kits, and request processes for area managers.

•

Manage multiple markets simultaneously, maintaining clear priorities, consistent follow-up, and organized partnership pipelines.

•

Coordinate with paid media teams and other relevant stakeholders to ensure local initiatives complement broader marketing efforts.

Requirements

•

At least 3 years of experience in local, regional, or field marketing, partnerships, or business development for a multi-location consumer brand, ideally in hospitality, fitness, restaurants, real estate, or tourism.

•

Demonstrated success securing partnerships through proactive cold outreach, with the ability to develop compelling pitches and convert initial contact into lasting relationships.

•

Experience planning and managing marketing budgets across multiple locations or markets, using performance insights to guide investment decisions.

•

Practical experience managing branded merchandise, print production, and fulfillment, including vendor sourcing, quotations, quality control, timelines, and inventory.

•

Strong persistence and follow-up skills, with the confidence to handle rejection and maintain momentum throughout partnership development.

•

Excellent organizational and project management abilities, including the capacity to oversee 10–30 markets at different stages while maintaining accurate records and a structured CRM pipeline.

•

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with a wide range of local partners and stakeholders.

•

Working knowledge of local business listings, local SEO fundamentals, email marketing tools, spreadsheets, and AI-powered tools for market research and outreach preparation.

•

Excellent, near-native written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally.

•

Availability to work during US business hours, aligned with Pacific, Central, or Eastern time zones.

•

Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and take ownership of a new function from the ground up.

•

Experience launching new locations or markets, knowledge of US destination and tourism markets, or a background in event planning or hospitality operations would be an advantage.

•

Comfortable with direct outreach by email and phone, as well as working with partners during their local business hours.

•

This is a consumer-focused local marketing and partnerships role, rather than a B2B field marketing, paid media management, or events-only position.

Benefits

•

Fully remote position, open to candidates based outside the United States.

•

Generous paid time off, including local public holidays.

•

Budget ownership and decision-making authority from day one.

•

Opportunity to build a new function and establish its strategy, processes, and playbook.

•

Direct reporting line to the VP of Growth.

•

Broad ownership and autonomy across local marketing initiatives and partnerships.
