About the job
Position: Graphic Designer (Large Format, Signage & Vehicle Wraps)
Salary: up to 2000 AUD per month (depending on skills & experience)
Working Hours & Conditions: Monday to Friday, Western Australia business hours
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Large Format Graphic Designer who understands how artwork actually gets printed and installed, not just how it looks on screen. The core of the role is turning logos, photos, and rough briefs into clean, production-ready files for signage and vehicle wraps. Print shop experience is ideal. As a bonus, the right person can also manage social media of the company, though graphic design remains the core requirement. Reliability, clear communication, and visible daily output matter as much as design skill.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Large-Format Design & Print Preparation (Primary Focus)
- Set up print-ready artwork for large-format signage and vehicle wraps from supplied logos, photos, and rough briefs.
- Lay out designs to real-world dimensions with correct scale, bleed, and tiling for large-format output.
- Template vehicle wraps, allowing for panel seams, door gaps, curves, and wrap-around edges.
- Check files before print — colour, resolution, outlined fonts, and cut lines — and build them so they install cleanly on the wall or vehicle.
Briefs, Communication & Accountability
- Read each brief carefully, ask the right questions, and confirm details before starting rather than guessing.
- Work from structured Trello briefs and keep each card’s status up to date.
- Give a short daily update on what has been completed and what is next; deliver on agreed turnaround times and flag early if a deadline is at risk.
Social Media (Bonus)
- Create and schedule social media posts using job photos and finished work, keeping both brands active, on brand, and consistent.
Requirements
Tools & Systems (Non-Negotiable)
- Adobe Illustrator — strong skills with a vector-first approach (clean vectors, proper outlines, no raster shortcuts)
Required Skills & Experience
- Print shop experience, with genuine large-format production experience and an understanding of DPI at scale, colour profiles, bleed, and print setup
- Solid understanding of signage and vehicle wrap installation
- Portfolio showing signage and wrap work
- Excellent written and spoken English — able to read a brief, ask the right questions, and confirm details clearly before starting
- Fully dedicated to this role during working hours, with no other job commitments
- Stable work history, with references from two direct managers
Preferred Skills (Nice To Have)
- Vehicle wrap templating experience, e.g. using wrap template libraries
- Large-format RIP software and print-and-cut workflow experience
- Social media design and content experience
- Experience working from Trello or a similar task board
Working Style
- Reliable and consistent — shows up and delivers every day
- Open and proactive in communication, raising problems early
- Meticulous about production details such as scale, bleed, and file setup
- Takes ownership of their work and checks files before they go to print
- Committed to a long-term role
- No pay listed
