About the job

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a DevOps Test Bench Engineer based in India.

We are seeking a DevOps Test Bench Engineer to build and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-based testing environments. In this remote role, you will work across AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure to support automated testing and continuous integration. You will use infrastructure-as-code tools and DevOps automation to streamline provisioning, deployment, and environment management. Working closely with development, QA, and SRE teams, you will strengthen system reliability, improve observability, and accelerate feedback cycles. You will also help optimize cloud performance and costs while maintaining robust security standards. This opportunity is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges and improving operational excellence in a collaborative, remote-first environment.

Accountabilities

•

Design, build, and maintain end-to-end test environments across AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.

•

Automate the provisioning, scaling, configuration, and teardown of test environments using tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

•

Integrate testing environments with CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Jenkins, to enable automated end-to-end testing and faster delivery cycles.

•

Monitor system health and analyze metrics, logs, and traces using Prometheus, Grafana, the ELK stack, and AWS CloudWatch.

•

Improve cloud infrastructure performance and cost-efficiency through resource right-sizing, spot instances, and reserved capacity planning.

•

Implement security hardening policies, IAM roles, and infrastructure compliance checks to protect cloud environments.

•

Collaborate with SRE teams to define service-level agreements (SLAs), incident response plans, and disaster recovery procedures for testing infrastructure.

•

Conduct capacity planning, load testing, and resilience testing to validate infrastructure performance under realistic workloads.

•

Mentor junior engineers and share best practices in DevOps, cloud engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering.

•

Document system architecture, operational procedures, and runbooks to support knowledge sharing, consistency, and audit readiness.

Requirements

•

At least 2 years of hands-on cloud engineering experience, ideally working across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

•

Strong Linux system administration skills, including command-line operations and shell scripting.

•

Proficiency with DevOps tools and technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD orchestration platforms, and Infrastructure as Code frameworks.

•

Experience designing and implementing monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for distributed applications and infrastructure.

•

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application failures in production or production-like environments.

•

Solid understanding of SRE principles, including incident management, post-incident analysis, service reliability, and resilience engineering.

•

Experience building and maintaining automated testing infrastructure that improves software quality and reduces release risks.

•

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across remote, cross-functional teams.

•

Ability to balance delivery speed with security, scalability, reliability, and cloud cost optimization.

•

A proactive approach to continuous learning, technical problem-solving, and adopting emerging tools and technologies.

Benefits

•

Annual compensation: INR 22–33 lakh per annum (LPA).

•

Fully remote work: Work remotely from India.

•

Multi-cloud experience: Develop practical expertise across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

•

Technical growth: Work with modern DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and observability technologies.

•

Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with development, QA, and SRE teams to improve reliability and delivery quality.

•

Professional development: Opportunities to strengthen technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to infrastructure best practices.
