About the job
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Creative Director based in the United States.
As Creative Director, you will shape and lead a distinctive brand identity, overseeing how the organization communicates across campaigns, partnerships, content, and cultural moments. You will combine bold creative thinking with strategic direction to develop work that captures attention and drives measurable business results. From initial concepts and creative briefs to production and final execution, you will own high-impact campaigns across multiple channels. You will lead a lean creative team, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and build a network of exceptional external creative partners. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment where experimentation, cultural awareness, and creative excellence are equally important.
Accountabilities
You will own the creative vision behind major brand initiatives while ensuring that campaigns connect compelling storytelling with business objectives. During the first year, approximately 80% of your focus will be on leading high-priority campaigns and brand moments, with the remaining 20% dedicated to building and strengthening the creative function. Your responsibilities will include:
•
Define and lead the creative vision across brand campaigns, product communications, partnerships, and cultural initiatives.
•
Translate business objectives into bold, strategically grounded creative briefs, guiding ideas from concept through launch.
•
Develop and execute integrated campaigns across social media, digital channels, out-of-home advertising, experiential marketing, partnerships, and emerging formats.
•
Create distinctive brand activations and creative stunts that bring the organization's mission of creator ownership to life and generate meaningful attention.
•
Develop signature annual campaigns, recurring content franchises, and recognizable brand moments.
•
Oversee the quality of work produced by the internal creative team and external partners, maintaining high standards throughout the creative process.
•
Lead major productions from start to finish, selecting and managing directors, photographers, animators, editors, agencies, and other creative partners.
•
Stay involved throughout production, from initial direction and shoots to final edits and delivery across video, photography, social, and experiential formats.
•
Present ambitious creative concepts, build stakeholder alignment, and secure executive support for major initiatives.
•
Collaborate with Paid Marketing, Lifecycle, Product Marketing, Social, and Communications teams to ensure campaigns are consistently executed across channels and contribute to business goals.
•
Translate major campaign concepts into ongoing paid creative initiatives and establish a structured testing process that generates actionable insights.
•
Analyze campaign performance, identify what resonates with audiences, and use findings to improve future creative work.
•
Establish creative principles, workflows, and team practices that support quality, consistency, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
•
Experiment with AI tools, prototypes, and rough cuts to validate ideas and test creative concepts before committing to full production budgets.
•
Build and maintain a trusted network of agencies, directors, editors, photographers, and freelancers.
•
Mentor creative professionals, develop internal talent, and help build a high-performing creative team as the organization grows.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is an experienced creative leader with a strong portfolio of distinctive campaigns and the ability to combine artistic excellence, cultural awareness, and commercial thinking. You should be comfortable moving between long-term brand building and fast-paced campaign execution, while inspiring teams and earning the confidence of senior stakeholders. Candidates should bring:
•
At least 8 years of experience leading creative work for ambitious brands, ideally within consumer SaaS or a leading creative agency.
•
An outstanding portfolio demonstrating integrated campaigns, brand platforms, and culturally relevant creative initiatives that generated attention and conversation.
•
Strong expertise across art direction, copywriting, design, motion, and photography, with the creative judgment to elevate work at every stage.
•
Proven experience leading major productions end to end, including selecting creative partners, managing shoots, and delivering video, photography, social, and experiential content.
•
Strong social-first instincts and an understanding of how to create content that stands out in digital feeds while remaining consistent with a brand's identity.
•
The ability to recognize cultural trends and turn timely opportunities into relevant, distinctive creative campaigns.
•
Confidence using data, experimentation, and funnel metrics to evaluate creative performance and improve campaign effectiveness.
•
Exceptional storytelling, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence executives, engage stakeholders, and align creative partners around a shared vision.
•
The ability to balance ambitious long-term brand development with rapid execution of short-term campaigns and paid creative.
•
A proactive, adaptable mindset and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities and timelines can change quickly.
•
Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a passion for developing creative talent and raising the quality of team output.
•
A builder's mindset, with the ability to establish creative processes, develop external partnerships, and grow a lean, high-performing team.
•
Openness to constructive feedback, creative experimentation, and performance-driven decision-making.
•
A strong sense of ownership, urgency, collaboration, and commitment to delivering meaningful value to users.
Benefits
