In this role, you will use your clinical expertise to address health-related inquiries from the public, healthcare providers, educators, and public health professionals in both English and Spanish. You will conduct research, navigate approved medical resources, and deliver clear, professional responses across phone, email, and chat channels. Working in a fast-paced, remote contact center environment, you will help ensure that individuals receive consistent, up-to-date information on a wide range of public health topics. Your clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to quality will contribute to informed decision-making and improved access to trusted health information. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented nursing professional who enjoys combining clinical knowledge, research, and bilingual customer support.

  • Research health information using approved databases, online resources, and established reference materials to ensure responses reflect current and reliable guidance.
  • Perform advanced database searches to locate relevant clinical information and support the resolution of specialized inquiries.
  • Communicate health information clearly and professionally in both English and Spanish, adapting explanations to the needs and understanding of different audiences.
  • Follow established scripts, protocols, quality standards, and compliance procedures when handling health-related questions and providing information.
  • Accurately document all incoming inquiries, research activities, and responses in the appropriate systems to maintain complete and consistent records.
  • Prepare written materials, reports, correspondence, and other documentation related to clinical inquiries and program operations.
  • Navigate multiple software applications and approved information resources to retrieve, verify, and communicate relevant health information efficiently.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism when interacting with members of the public and healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in special projects and additional activities as required to support program objectives and service quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license are required.
  • Relevant experience in nursing, medicine, public health, clinical research, or another medical or scientific discipline.
  • Clinical knowledge of CDC-related topics and public health guidance is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to speak, read, understand, and communicate professionally in both languages.
  • Strong research and internet search skills, including the ability to locate, evaluate, and interpret information from approved medical and scientific sources.
  • Excellent listening, reading comprehension, verbal communication, and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex health information clearly and accurately.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain professional, empathetic, and composed when addressing diverse health-related inquiries.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to assess questions, identify relevant resources, and provide appropriate information within established protocols.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and use multiple software applications and database systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage simultaneous tasks, maintain accurate documentation, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established procedures and quality standards.
  • Previous experience in a call center, telehealth, telephone support, or remote customer service environment is preferred.
  • Must attend all training sessions during the two-week training period. Training is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time, with 100% attendance required.
  • Must be flexible and available to work either of the following Monday–Friday shifts: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Eastern Time or 11:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
  • Must provide a personal smartphone for secure access to work systems, along with a personal computer, webcam, and headset with microphone. Tablets, iPads, and Chromebooks are not accepted.
  • Must have a reliable home internet connection with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps, or 50 Mbps for shared connectivity, and an upload speed of at least 5 Mbps.
  • Must have a hard-wired Ethernet connection to the home router using a Category 5 or 6 cable, a private and secure workspace, and an adequate power supply.
  • Must use a compatible Windows or Mac computer. Supported systems include Windows 10 or Windows 11 (Windows 11 preferred), or macOS Big Sur (11.0.1 or later), Catalina (10.15), or Monterey (12.3).
