About the job
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Applications Architect based in the United States.
As an Applications Architect, you will design, implement, and support technology solutions that strengthen Finance and Accounting operations. You will take ownership of the NetSuite architecture, translating complex financial requirements into reliable, scalable solutions that support accounting, financial planning, close processes, and reporting. Working closely with Finance, FP&A, IT, and other stakeholders, you will ensure that systems and integrations maintain data integrity and operational efficiency. You will also contribute to the evolution of financial analytics through tools such as NetSuite Analytics Warehouse (NSAW), NetSuite Planning and Budgeting (NSPB), and emerging AI-enabled capabilities. This is an opportunity to combine technical architecture expertise with financial knowledge in a collaborative, remote environment.
Accountabilities
In this role, you will lead the development and optimization of NetSuite solutions, ensuring that financial systems effectively support business operations, reporting, and strategic planning.
•
Translate Finance and Accounting requirements into effective NetSuite-based solutions, applying accounting knowledge to architectural and configuration decisions.
•
Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing support of NetSuite solutions for general accounting, order-to-cash processes, financial planning, period close, and reporting.
•
Develop and maintain solution architecture across ERP functionality, data models, custom records, SuiteScript, SuiteQL, and system integrations.
•
Troubleshoot and resolve NetSuite issues affecting financial reporting, planning cycles, and data integrity.
•
Evaluate architectural and configuration trade-offs, communicating technical considerations clearly to both technical teams and Finance stakeholders.
•
Collaborate with FP&A teams on NSAW and NSPB capabilities to improve planning, forecasting, and financial analytics.
•
Assess opportunities for AI-assisted automation, reporting, forecasting, and data analysis, considering feasibility, risk, and business value.
•
Work cross-functionally with Finance, IT, SOX, and Information Security teams to deliver reliable and compliant solutions.
Requirements
The ideal candidate combines strong NetSuite architecture expertise with practical accounting knowledge and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and financial teams.
•
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
•
At least 5 years of experience working with NetSuite in an architecture, senior administration, or implementation role.
•
Strong understanding of core ERP functionality, SuiteQL, SuiteScript, custom records, and system integrations.
•
Practical accounting knowledge, particularly in financial close and reporting processes.
•
Experience delivering cross-functional projects involving Finance, IT, SOX, and Information Security.
•
Experience with at least one NSAW implementation or application.
•
Familiarity with NSPB; experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning is an advantage.
•
Knowledge of Power BI and data architecture concepts, including data warehousing and Databricks, with the ability to collaborate on related integrations.
•
Exposure to analytics platforms or AI-enabled tools in a Finance or ERP environment.
•
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts and architectural decisions to different audiences.
Benefits
•
Annual salary range of $115,000–$149,500 , depending on relevant knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location.
•
Eligibility for performance-based incentives and restricted stock units as part of the total compensation package.
