Our team stands out for their deep-rooted passion for corporate change, treating software development as a human sport and art form.
When it comes to recruitment, we won't box you into rigid questionnaires; we genuinely want to get to know you. Our interactions are not transactional but human-centered, seeking genuine understanding and connection.
You'll hear about our core values and experience them with us firsthand. They define our essence.
Join Cresteo and be part of the change we're championing!
Why You Belong Here
As a Software Engineer at Cresteo, you'll be more than just a developer; you will be part of transforming the tech industry through our honest, transparent, and people-centric approach.
Your role will be diverse and dynamic. You'll be instrumental in developing and maintaining our software solutions, working with a varied technology stack, and ensuring that our products are functional, efficient, reliable, and scalable.
By joining us, you're not just choosing a job; you're aligning with a vision that values the human side of tech, where your skills and passion are recognized, nurtured, and celebrated.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years as a systems administrator, endpoint engineer or similar, including at least 2 years packaging and deploying software at scale (Intune, SCCM/ConfigMgr, Jamf, Munki, Chocolatey, winget or similar)
- Hands-on Windows packaging: MSI, EXE and MSIX installers, silent switches, detection rules, per-user vs. per-machine installs, x64/arm64
- Hands-on macOS packaging: PKG and DMG, app bundles and bundle IDs, universal vs. architecture-specific builds
- Solid PowerShell and Bash: you can read and fix someone else's installer wrapper
- Experience automating deployments through pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or similar), not only through a management console
- You already work with AI agents: you delegate tasks to them, and you review, validate and correct what they produce. This is non-negotiable
- Comfortable reading TypeScript and YAML well enough to spot what's wrong in an agent-generated change. You don't need to be a developer
- You diagnose failed installs from logs, exit codes and metadata, on devices you can't access
- You can reverse-engineer poorly documented installers, find stable download URLs and version sources, and recognize when an app can't be packaged (login, paywall, bot protection) and write down why
- Maintaining packages in public repositories (winget-pkgs, Chocolatey Community, Homebrew Cask, AutoPkg)
- Python or Go, AWS, vulnerability/CVE data, VM-based install testing
- Strong written English for an async-first team
Own the end-to-end delivery and reliability of third-party application packages across Windows and macOS, from installer analysis and automated validation to production patching. Combine deep packaging expertise with scripting, TypeScript, CI/CD, and AI-assisted engineering to ship applications while continuously improving the automation behind the catalog.
